AmeriCorps Vista
Summer Associates
For the past 5 years the Center Theatre has partnered with Goodwill of Northern New England to host a group of AmeriCorps Vista Summer Associates. Each summer, the Vistas alleviate summer learning loss, reduce the effects of poverty, and support the Center Theatre mission to engage and inspire by making arts, education, and entertainment accessible to our rural communities.
They do this by:
-
working at our Children's Summer Drama Camps
-
helping at various theatrical events throughout the summer
-
supporting Center Theatre fundraising events such as the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival
-
aiding in the daily summer operations of the Center Theatre
Vistas must be at least 18 years old when they start their position. Vistas work for 8,9 or 10 weeks starting May or June and work 40 hours per week.
