AmeriCorps Vista
Summer Associates

For the many years the Center Theatre has partnered with Goodwill of Northern New England to host a full-year AmeriCorps Vista Member. The Member's primary duties are supporting, encouraging, and recruiting our volunteers.  This means training volunteers, doing occasional presentations about volunteering, and working with the volunteers in the Theatre lobby and during events.  You'll also work on a volunteer fair with Central Hall Commons. There will also be opportunities to learn about grant writing, fundraising, marketing, and promotion.

AmeriCorps Members must be at least 18 years old when they start their position. You will work 30 - 40 hours per week, with some weekend and evening hours each week. Members are employees of Goodwill of Northern New England who administer the AmeriCorps program.

 

The stipend for the 2026 is currently $957.46 biweekly with an end-of-term education award of $7,395. The education award is given once the Member successfully completes the term. The award can be used for qualified educational expenses and if the Member is 55 or older, the award can be transferred to someone else in the Member's immediate family.

Our current Vista Member completes her term on January 12th. We expect the new position will start around that time, but are still waiting for the details from Goodwill of Northern New England and the AmeriCorps program.
