In 2026, the Center Theatre is celebrating the 20th anniversary of reopening our historic theater in downtown Dover-Foxcroft.  That's 20 years of events, laughs, and stories that have shaped the heart of our town. To celebrate this milestone, we’re proud to introduce a digital history database that brings the Theatre’s story to your fingertips. This interactive collection consists of archived articles and letters to the Piscataquis Observer from 1940 to 2024.

This project was made possible thanks to the tireless efforts of the Thompson Free Library that hosts a full digital archive of the Piscataquis Observer and many other online resources.
